Urbans completes Rains Drive Reserve upgrade for the City of Salisbury, improving the function and standard of the Pooraka community amenity.
The City of Salisbury regularly conducts works on its playgrounds and reserves to better meet the needs of the community.
Rains Drive Reserve features a playground, walking paths and is accessible via Duffield Drive.
The Rains Drive Reserve upgrade scope of works included the removal of shrubs and groundcovers and the installation of:
- Paths – Pavers
- Surface – Concrete
- Furniture – Solar Picnic Setting on Concrete Pad
- Furniture – Rubbish Bin
- Plantings – Hydroseeding
- Planting – Shrubs/ ground covers
- Meter – Electrical
- Meter – Water
- Irrigation – New System
New lawned area
Urbans removed topsoil off the existing site, removed weeds and then cultivated the area before hydroseeding to create a new lawned area.
Paving was installed from pram ramps and leading to the new picnic setting and shelter that was located on a concrete pad.
The shelter features aluminium posts and frames, along with a colorbond roof and has anti-vandal fixings.
Urbans’ irrigation specialists installed new systems and metering that will ensure the new greenery is evenly watered.
Finally, Jeffries Playscape Softfall Mulch was also installed.
