Bushfire arboriculture works in the Adelaide Hills

Bushfire recovery

Eucalypt trees are well adapted to bushfires and most will continue to grow normally following a fire. This means that unless a specific tree poses a safety risk, it is much better for the recovery of our native flora and fauna to retain as many trees as possible.

Now nearly 18 months have passed since the summer of 2019-20 bushfires that devastated many parts of South Australia. Urbans Arboriculture team are carrying out pruning works for Mount Barker District Council on roadsides around the Harrogate area. It is great to witness and assist with the recovery process whilst the bushland regenerates providing natural shelter and food for native animals again.
