The Urbans Landscape Construction team created a greener, more natural and active playspace at the Seacliff Community Kindergarten.
The project team met several challenges, including a tight working space and a limited timeframe that required the project to be completed during the holiday break.
Upon returning to kindergarten after their holidays, the children were greeted with a reconstructed outdoor learning area, which included a rock amphitheatre, rock-edged sandpit and mud pit, water play area, shelter, in-ground trampoline and new slide.
Urbans also supplied and installed softscaping, irrigation, an exposed aggregate pedestrian pavement and crazy paving that really boosted the students’ play and learning environment.
The project’s elements included:
- Demolition of old play areas
- Earthworks to prepare for site reestablishment
- Reinstatement of the lawned area and garden beds, including plantings.
