As our team was conducting roadside native vegetation management for City of Onkaparinga, these tiny, hairless joey Common Ring tailed Possums were found still alive within their deceased mothers pouch on the side of a roadside outside of Willunga.
They both were placed in a cosy beanie and taken to a McLaren Vale vet.
These finds can come about every now and again when working within remnant native vegetation sites.
All Possums are protected under the National Parks and Wildlife Act, 1972.
