Urbans’ streetscaping project in Modbury

Streetscaping project Modbury

Water-sensitive design was at the forefront of a $1.9m Urbans’ streetscaping project in Modbury completed by our landscape construction team.

Our team provided general streetscaping and landscaping works for the City of Tea Tree Gully between Golden Grove and Reservoir Roads and along Montague Road at Modbury.

The project included footpaths and the creation of a rock swale, with additional parkland landscaping and improvements throughout the prominent location.

Street trees and shrubs were planted and new street furniture was also installed, helping our client to create a people-friendly green corridor, focused on water-sensitive urban streetscaping design.

Our team enjoyed the challenge of creating the rock swale which runs through Gold Reserve, with our workers striving to create an effective and aesthetically pleasing water course.

The Urbans’ streetscaping project in Modbury were part of upgrades to the high-profile community precinct, which also includes Tea Tree Plaza and Civic Park.

Tea Tree Gully Mayor Marijka Ryan highlighted the value of the project to her community.

“These works have improved the aesthetics, safety and accessibility of the area and are an invitation for commercial and residential investment,” Mayor Ryan said.
